Privacy
Fontdial is a small project. Here is everything that happens with your information.
Your fonts stay on your computer
Fonts are built in your browser. Your slider settings, your text and your font files are never sent to us.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you download a font, and whether you ticked "Send me occasional updates." We save it together with the campaign tag of the link that brought you (if any), the search term, and a random visit id, so we can tell which ads lead to downloads.
- Anonymous usage counts, so we can make the site better: which parts of the site you open, which sliders and base fonts you use, how long the page is on screen, what you download (number of styles and file types), the site that linked you here, and your country (from the connection, not your IP address, which we don't store). Each visit gets a random id that lasts only while the tab is open. No cookies, and nothing that follows you to other sites.
- The campaign tag (utm values) from the link that brought you here, if it had one.
- If Cloudflare Web Analytics is turned on: cookie-free visit counts (pages viewed, rough country, device and browser).
Your browser also remembers your email, whether you have visited before, and whether you closed the tips, so you don't have to type or see them again. That stays on your device.
Why
- To know who is using Fontdial.
- Only if you ticked the box: to send occasional updates, such as new styles and the paid version when it is ready.
What we don't do
- We never sell or share your email.
Ads. If you arrive from one of our Google ads, the link carries a campaign tag. We count it with our other anonymous usage counts to see which ads bring people here. We don't run Google's advertising tag on this site, and nothing follows you to other sites. Google may use its own cookies on its own pages when you click the ad.
